Counting Carrots and Goodies

0

When inside the house the whole days and evenings— except running in the garden, walking dogs. More food is being consumed in our household.

And talk about goodies suddenly disappearing in a blink of an eye 🙂 Different hiding places are being found by them. Their noses are being perfect.

However, the amount of carrots and apples stays the same, but not the goodies 🙂

When questioning who ate all the ice cream, the kids always have the same innocent eyes, even the six dogs.

You got to Love them, two legged and four legged kids. Even when you see the small traces of chocolate on their t shirts.

Listen!

0

She was a teenager. Living in an emotionally abusive home. Alcohol was often being consumed by her Father.

She told many adults, asking them for help. Some said she needed anxiety pills. Others said, there was no proof. Some looked at her with sad eyes.

The Father claimed he loved her, but was never present in her life. It sounded good, he lived her. He told stories, and people listened and filled him with sorrows. Those kind of sorrows which filled him with power to continuing destroying the little hope which was being left inside of her chest.

He was a master of lies.

Never before had he pictures framed of her.

He framed pictures and made sure people would see them. He really loves her, they thought, not knowing it was a scam.

She promised herself never to stay silent just to make him comfortable. If it so was the last thing she did!

Horses as my Teacher

0

The new horse stood and ate in the corner in his new box. I could sense he was very relaxed when I peaked in to him. He looked at me with his curious eyes.

The horses brought my anxiety level down very quickly. I could breath slower, and it was like I felt my thoughts became clearer. Could that really be possible?

I had been sent to the farm by my psychologist. She told me I needed to surround myself with animals in my recovery program, not only talking and eating medication. Animals, and especially horses and dogs, had shown amazing results in clients recovery. And what was even better, the clients continued with animals long after they had been healed. It was like an enormous thankfulness, and the feeling of being accepted, not judged, covered in thick unconditional love, and patiences. The therapy horses were indeed perfect therapists.

I longed to get to the stable and brush them and even talk to them. Today there was a new horse. When I walked into ‘his’ home I made sure I felt respectfulness and gratitude towards him. I had learned from the owner, that I shouldn’t worry about anything else, only to be aware of my thoughts.  The translation into energy would work itself and the horses would pick it up. The horses would react on what I did, and felt inside. The horses would also teach me boundaries, a good lesson I could bring back to the outside life.

The owner told me she could communicate with animals. Something I wasn’t sure was possible.

She shared what her first  horse hade taught her. Yes, she was a strong believer the horses were her teachers, not opposite.

“I am not only listening to your words. I listen to your use of words, the tone, and even your body language. Your eyes, your face expressions. I can even hear everything you don’t say.”

Empower yourself with Strong Survivors

0

One thing I learned through the long journey as a victim, was to find strong survivors for support and advice.

These incredible women (and one man ) understands first and foremost, all the different emotions which (many times ) are making it difficult for the mind to move forward.

They are also helping with my recovery and growth, to become whole again. They understand the time it takes. Small steps and big cheers!

What I love with these strong women I am surrounded by, there are never any talk about revenge. Only to get knowledge and love (support) and possibilities for myself. And of course laughters, between the tears.

I Lead my Heart with Courage

0

When there is sun and blue sky, life feels lighter

When you are with a friend, life feels good.

When someone asks, how are your, not only with their words, but also with their eyes.

Feels amazing.

They stop their own life for a minute, and connects with you.

I see when you hurry up to avoid me, but I smile towards you. I know you feel guilty, and I don’t want you to have that burden, because of me.

I continue pretending everything is fine.

I am thankful, you know, that I finally can see clearly with my own eyes, even if it hurts.

But only in that moment, I let it hurt.

I don’t judge you. You see, I am learning not to judge myself. So I turn around, and walks towards the horses. We are one.

I feel accepted without any words.

Learn from Children’s Honesty

0

Children are amazing, by telling their truth right away. It’s simple.

Short and upfront!

How much more easy wouldn’t life be, if we could see with their eyes, and speak like their hearts.

Pure and simple!

Never belittle anyone, and especially not children.

Uplift them.

Be in the Moment

0

To be able to visit the stable every day, is an enormous gift.

To be in the moment. Not in the past, nor in the future, but in the moment.

The stillness, hearing the horses breathing quietly, like meditation for the mind, heart and soul.

To become one with everything

My Favorite Picture

This picture warms my heart, my mommy heart.

For some reason did I collect all (actually missing one pair that our dog ate) of my daughters riding boots.

From when she was three years-old, riding in south Italy, until now, 13 years-old in Germany.

She had a “break” from riding when she broke her femur, in a horse accident. Ollie was only 9 back then, and it was the worst evening in my life.

I asked her a couple of months later, when she got off her wheel chair, if she couldn’t consider starting playing golf!

Well no way! She got back on the horse(s) and started jumping…however, and recently she started playing polo —one kind of hitting a ball.

I am a proud mother!

Horses as Teachers

0

Since 1997 hade I been working with horses in many different countries. I never trained the horse, I trained the humans (owners and groomers) how to get more out from your horse. (And yourself)

Psychology, health, training, competitions, but mostly, communication between each other.

When the horse becomes a machine, and the horse only “stands” there, the danger have occurred.

His spirit is “locked down”! You will never become a better rider (owner) when you stop listening to your beloved team mate.

One groomer put her horse carrots on the ground outside his open box.

He saw them and it was a delightful temptation for him.

Other Horses with their groomers walked by. The horse with his carrots without reach, put his ears back and threaten the passing horses.

He looked like a crazy horse! Evil!

I could see why, but the others didn’t understand him.

The groomer got irritated and slapped him, not ones, but three times, hard in his face.

This is what I teach. The small signs the Animals shows us, the small communication that gives us the big picture. To become a better teammate.

Animals don’t judge. They are actually our teachers and I, am only the translator! It is difficult not to judge, that is why I admire Animals.

We humans, will always be students our whole life!
