Being Heard

As many of you already know, Max is back in school after nearly two years of being homeschooled.

He loves school. Especially his teacher from the first day.

Max was very upset for days about the hitting from a boy and being blamed. He didn’t want to go to school if that pupil didn’t get expelled! I have never seen him that upset before and my mother heart ached.

The next morning in the car we did as we always did, our thanks and prayers. However, Max looked smaller in the front seat than normal.

My mom heart sang the prayers, and especially for courage in his little heart. I said it twice. Courage please!

Later that afternoon I went to pick him up outside school. I see his big smile far away. He is waving with a paper in his hand.

He was awarded the diploma for COURAGE!

Bring Italy to you!

To be a mother and working a lot from home, having many animals around you, There is nothing more fantastic then to stay at a hotel and have other s take care of you.Look at the breakfast! The best room ever for my son. The manager at V8 was (is) amazing arranging a fantastic room for him. This hotel got everything for everyone!

Amazing car museum, and totally awesome Italian restaurant. The whole crew “Tony’s” were top five stars. Food tasting like homemade from the best Italian Mom!

You hardworking moms, should do this to yourself ones in a while. With or without your children, it’s totally up to you. You do your glamour thing for your heart and mind, however, it’s nice to share it with someone else too.

I love to eat together with my son (Olivia was at a school dance) He enjoys food and to have conversations together with him, is fun and inspiring.

Afterwards, we picked Olivia up outside the school dance, and went back to the hotel. We then visit the bar connected to the restaurant drinking cola and eating divine dolce.

This is a five star bar, no drunks or smokers– there is a cigar room– if you wanted to enjoy a tasteful cigar.

Amazing Glamour Time for Mom and her Kids!

We got a New Client

In my home it’s me who brings home wounded or/and homeless animals. Not my children!

Not that they wouldn’t do it, there is no chance I find them first.

However, I am very proud over my children (12 and 10 y) they have become wonderful animal friends. Carrying and showing empathy to both humans and animals.

We welcome Hope into our Animal Sanctuary! We hope you will heal and feel comfortable here!

Horses as Teachers

Since 1997 hade I been working with horses in many different countries. I never trained the horse, I trained the humans (owners and groomers) how to get more out from your horse. (And yourself)

Psychology, health, training, competitions, but mostly, communication between each other.

When the horse becomes a machine, and the horse only “stands” there, the danger have occurred.

His spirit is “locked down”! You will never become a better rider (owner) when you stop listening to your beloved team mate.

One groomer put her horse carrots on the ground outside his open box.

He saw them and it was a delightful temptation for him.

Other Horses with their groomers walked by. The horse with his carrots without reach, put his ears back and threaten the passing horses.

He looked like a crazy horse! Evil!

I could see why, but the others didn’t understand him.

The groomer got irritated and slapped him, not ones, but three times, hard in his face.

This is what I teach. The small signs the Animals shows us, the small communication that gives us the big picture. To become a better teammate.

Animals don’t judge. They are actually our teachers and I, am only the translator! It is difficult not to judge, that is why I admire Animals.

We humans, will always be students our whole life!

Give Back

It’s fun to give back! Me and my son Max, started volunteering at my daughters school.

Delivering Popcorn twice a month to classes 6,7 and 8.

It’s a great opportunity to teach Max that giving back to the community can be very inspiring.

And even more so, to get to know new friends, meeting the teachers and the schools awesome Principal.

When we chose to do nothing, …. nothing is what we will reap.

Senior Dogs got Much to Give

AWL mia hemsida adress 1I have to admit, my heart is soft for Senior dogs. Having had my foundation now since 1999 and working with rescuing animals (most dogs) I have met hundreds of wonderful Seniors. Yes, it is not for a very long time you get to keep them(years), however, the time seems in a way longer when you are together with them (time). If that makes any sense.

I have had to say good bye to many Seniors, but I have always been by their side. Always!

In my home I have right now eight (8) Seniors that I adore. I don’t like traveling as much as I did earlier, even if I love traveling 😉 I cut down 50% with my travels.

Instead I love laying reading and hearing their deep snoring next to me or on the floor on their own bed(s). How they wake up and takes the day with grande relaxing tempo, like the southern Italian dogs they are (ok one American). And….their love is priceless, their deepness in their eyes when they look at you. They make you feel like a Hero!

This January we had to say good bye to one of our rescue dogs Jazz. For one year she had problems holding her bladder. I rolled away the carpets and mopping buckets on every floor.

My husband growled a little.

I looked at him with a wrinkle between my eyes and said, “When you get old(er) and start to wet yourself, am I going to get ride of you too?”

good-bye-leoI have a hard time understanding people who suddenly abandon their old friend just because he is old and smelly. It shows me their (people) evaluation about becoming old.

My heart become warm when I read about more and more Senior Sanctuaries are opening, and …..that so many more people dare to adopt a Senior.
