A Daily Doze of Vitamin H

0

During this time with Coronavirus— “keep distance”, has it been no possibility for our two legged clients to visit our horses. But, they have all said the same thing.

They noticed their inner stress level gone up, their thoughts are flying everywhere. They cannot wait until they are allowed to meet the horses again. Their pulse slows down, and it’s like the thoughts suddenly disappears. One woman ones said after 5 minutes together with the horse, “ I feel like I can breathe now!”

Here in Germany in the beautiful Nature area, have we seen a lot of people walking, (hiking)

However, families that bike rides together has been amazing to see. It’s lovely to see so many families (separately) together out in the nature. They stop and looks at the horses. I can see the parents are pointing and talking while the kids listens. Quiet and relaxing!

The families worry of course, but like one woman said, “We try to learn from the horses to stay grounded and in the moment!”

Big Mamma — one of Todays Guest Speakers

Standing on a scene in front of a lot of people, could be a little nerve tickling. But it went quickly over to joy, especially when the audience laughed, and I could see their faces. Loved it.

Today, I had another online presentation/lecture and it is/was a positive challenge. I just love that so many people understand that most of us are beginners with all the new meeting rooms. It is a little bumpy to begin—

I was lucky and happy, to have my 12-year old son by my side supporting me. To start with, I couldn’t find the mic nor the video buttons, then how to attach the presentation so every one could see it from their computers— I love you Max—

Max also had to run after me with the iBook in his hands, since I had six different turtles as my guests. They were waiting in different rooms to participate. And of course our six dogs were following me wondering what the heck was going on.

The big challenge for me, was that I felt like I was speaking to myself. It had the same feeling as when I attended radio interviews— But overall, it was great, being able to talk about my passion, and sharing my experiences from different animals in different countries.

That’s what I call Amore.

A huge Thank You, to everyone that joined today.

Summer Joy

0

The joy I feel, when the horses can go (run) out to their “summer holiday pastures” is an amazing feeling. However, I know that their joy is “explosive happiness” as a little girl told me years ago, while they explores the pasture for the first time, this year.

Our rescue horses, which we rescued — for different reasons, —are extremely happy today, together with some other senior horses. The place is magical beautiful, surrounded with gorgeous nature.

It is a blessing for our, and their souls- hearts- and minds. Being in a moment is a blessing.

Horses as my Teacher

0

The new horse stood and ate in the corner in his new box. I could sense he was very relaxed when I peaked in to him. He looked at me with his curious eyes.

The horses brought my anxiety level down very quickly. I could breath slower, and it was like I felt my thoughts became clearer. Could that really be possible?

I had been sent to the farm by my psychologist. She told me I needed to surround myself with animals in my recovery program, not only talking and eating medication. Animals, and especially horses and dogs, had shown amazing results in clients recovery. And what was even better, the clients continued with animals long after they had been healed. It was like an enormous thankfulness, and the feeling of being accepted, not judged, covered in thick unconditional love, and patiences. The therapy horses were indeed perfect therapists.

I longed to get to the stable and brush them and even talk to them. Today there was a new horse. When I walked into ‘his’ home I made sure I felt respectfulness and gratitude towards him. I had learned from the owner, that I shouldn’t worry about anything else, only to be aware of my thoughts.  The translation into energy would work itself and the horses would pick it up. The horses would react on what I did, and felt inside. The horses would also teach me boundaries, a good lesson I could bring back to the outside life.

The owner told me she could communicate with animals. Something I wasn’t sure was possible.

She shared what her first  horse hade taught her. Yes, she was a strong believer the horses were her teachers, not opposite.

“I am not only listening to your words. I listen to your use of words, the tone, and even your body language. Your eyes, your face expressions. I can even hear everything you don’t say.”

Human and Horse Therapists Together

1

I am very excited to see our “quiet” project, back in 2018 named as Giving Back, is becoming known by various psychologist, and different therapists in our area.  And our project is growing!

I am truly thankful, and enthusiastic for their open minds, and becoming more aware that animals, are having a huge impact on us humans healing.

Me and AWL (supporters) are rescuing horses with different kind of mental illness. Some of the horses are having ‘deeper’ depressions than the others.

Me and my daughter, work quietly together with the rescue horses, figuring out with their guidance, how they wants to heal.

Each one of them, shows us which directions they want to go. Since they don’t have the same story, or experiences to tell us, we need to listen extra carefully.

All five horses doesn’t receive the same therapy from us!

Same goes for us humans.

Mental illness doesn’t take a break, and neither can we.

Depression acts like gas. It can sneak up on anyone, invisible, and poisonous towards your mind, soul, health and heart slowly.

Mental illness doesn’t take a break, neither can we.

The Inner Voice of Anxiety

0

❤️ I heard her telling the horse to stop biting its feeding bowl. I could hear the young woman’s voice becoming more and more frustrated. The horse kept biting and inhaling air.

I could feel the horse anxiety level rising rapidly, and her inhaling becoming stronger.

The young woman wasn’t bad to the horse, quite the opposite. She didn’t want the horse to get colic (or feel bad)

I knew how much she loved the horse. “If you as a person are making something out of nervousness, and someone is telling you in a harsh way to stop, repeatedly, how would you feel?” I asked the young woman kindly.

“More nervous, I guess.” she answered politely.

She smiled and removed the horse, and tied her beloved horse away from the feeding bucket while saddling her.

The horse stoped biting at the feeding place and with encouraging voice she could get her horse ready without any more problems. Her horse stood calmly.

You want to empower your horse, and your children. To continue building them up from who they are, their background and for your future together.

My Favorite Picture

This picture warms my heart, my mommy heart.

For some reason did I collect all (actually missing one pair that our dog ate) of my daughters riding boots.

From when she was three years-old, riding in south Italy, until now, 13 years-old in Germany.

She had a “break” from riding when she broke her femur, in a horse accident. Ollie was only 9 back then, and it was the worst evening in my life.

I asked her a couple of months later, when she got off her wheel chair, if she couldn’t consider starting playing golf!

Well no way! She got back on the horse(s) and started jumping…however, and recently she started playing polo —one kind of hitting a ball.

I am a proud mother!
