Horses as Therapists

0

Our rescue horse Julia, is an one of our amazing therapists. Helping other children and adults to lower their anxiety, depressions, and their inner negative monologues.

People feel a connection without any words by being present together with the horse(s).

School, or work stress gets off their shoulders, and smiles appears on their faces.

Sometimes you don`t want, or feel ready to talk to a person, or answer uncomfortable questions. Only to be in the moment and breathe, with someone that is there for you with their love. (Little like a grandma feeling)

That’s Amore

You are Never to Old to Fly

0

You are never to old to try new things. As a matter of fact, I will always remember a friends words to me, “Mia, when you stop living that’s when you become old.”

I started to ride a year ago — I think– I am not much for lessons, I get very bored quickly– same for our rescue horse Miracle.

I like to be together with him, listening to what he likes to do. And then, I follow his desire.

Riding out in the Forrest is with mixed feelings. In the start he walks in a good tempo, and we can both look around the beautiful nature. Then, he desires for trotting, then faster and faster. If he could decide, we would cantor through the woods, happily. Even if I would be terrified.

Miracle is 27 year old former school horse from southern Italy. At their place their were no pastures, only outdoor arena and then he would be back in his box.

Where he stays now, it is heavenly with nature, pastures, in and outdoors arenas. He got a big box and a lot of healthy food.

Sometimes we look at the people jumping, and my daughters jumping lessons. It looks fun!

I asked Miracle if he wanted to jump, and he gladly did jump a bunny jump. His ears were forward, his speed fast and …..landed perfectly and made some rodeo happy kicks.

Me, I closed my eyes

thank you. Olivia my daughter for coaching and giggling when your mom is riding. If it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t do this.

Miracle, my love, you are bringing out my joy and fear inside of me. How amazing you are.

That’s Amore!

Breathing Together

0

Animals has always been a big part of my adult life. They have always been there for me, they never betrayed me.

Without any expectations or demands.

In their moment I can be me and breathe.

Together in the nature it is a higher experience, the birds singing, butterflies flying around, colors sparkling around with a touch of the sun.

I was being told that if you spend a lot of time in the nature it lowers the risk of being exposed by cancer!

One thing I know for sure, is that i become very different, –in a good way, –being surrounded by horses and nature.

Calm and thankful.

Sometimes my days can be stressful, or I am very sad. I hurry to the stable when I get the chance, and after only five minutes, have I landed in myself.

This is why it’s not difficult for me rescuing horses.

It’s my way of saying, thank you!

That’s Amore!

Share what you wish, save some just for you,

And always remember to keep adding new chapters as you go along.”

This is beautiful Julia, a former Polo horse we truly would like to give a wonderful retirement too.

She is 16 years old and have worked so hard teaching us people about the sport.

Julia has been there every day. Now we would like to give thanks back.

Let me Tell you Something

I am old, however, filled with wisdoms.

When you listens without any expectations, you will know what to do, and what road to continue on.

Don’t always fight me to be right, see me as your teammate.

Don’t take out your frustration on me, I am not your punchbag. We are thinking living creatures that has emotions and thoughts.

Give back, and your heart will forever say thank you.

That’s Amore!

I am very sorry for the long silence!

It will become a change to the better, I promise.

A couple of weeks ago, I lost a very dear friend of mine. It really knocked me down in to many different grieving faces.

A tornado of feeling and fears. Questions.

Her husband didn’t want anyone to publish pictures of her. And I respect that very much.

I miss you 💫
