Honesty

Gaslighting is a tactic in which a person or entity, in order to gain more power, makes a victim question their reality. It works much better than you may think. Anyone is susceptible to gaslighting, and it is a common technique of abusers, dictators, narcissists, and cult leaders. It is done slowly, so the victim doesn’t realize how much they’ve been brainwashed.

Many say I am to nice, cut nice. Not to be mistaken by being kind. Nice is someone who apologize for everything, even when someone else did wrong.

I was an easy target 🎯 You easily become like that since growing up your mind has been programmed to be confused by adults. As an adult you continue in the same pattern until someone opens your eyes and heart.

Time together with You

0

Volunteering together with my children has always been a joy. I try to do it at least two days a month — do I count all the volunteering hours rescuing animals for our own organization, then we do it every day!

Hands up for America, which is fantastic (many times) with all their different volunteering programs.

You can try new things, get free education, and give back to your community.

When it’s popcorn delivery at my daughters school, it’s a great time to visit her environment. Meet teachers and school friends.

I get another feeling when my daughter tells me about her days, and I am connecting with her stories.

Max had a day off from his school and could join me. Afterwards he told everyone that wanted to listen, he couldn’t wait until he starts middle school.

Little scary, but mostly exiting of course!

This is in an American school, in Germany.

Helping Hands and Hearts

In a couple of hours am I meeting a woman I admire in many ways.

She is the founder of the nonprofit organization Kainos. A ministry working against human trafficking and sexual exploitation in prostitution.

Their vision is to see freedom for victims of human trafficking and sexuality exploitation with an opportunity for a new life.

Let Women Into your Life

To my daughter.

Always believe in yourself. Find women that are not afraid of sharing their wisdom to you. Women that want to help you get stronger and wiser, that want you to succeed in life.

These women will come and go in your life.

Listen and remember, and grow.

Then, you do the same.

Thank you Mi for helping my daughter grow!

That’s Amore!

A Story to Share

Share what you wish, save some just for you,

And always remember to keep adding new chapters as you go along.”

Why the Hate?
Dear Friends and Followers,

img_5006
I feel compelled to address some comments that have come to my attention regarding Olivia’s involvement in our horse rescue campaigns and her role with AWL and our horses. It makes me very sad that I even had to take the time to write this, but I want to go on record with our petition.
Anyone who knows me, and AWL, will know that I have always included my children, where appropriate, in our rescue missions. I believe very strongly in teaching compassion and helping my children to learn how wonderful and enriching relationships with animals can be for our lives.

And I hope that one day they will help me to spread the word about animal rescue as they go out into the world.
Recently, my daughter Olivia has been playing an active role in our horse rescues. And she has been visible in our campaigns and fundraising efforts.
She has her own private horse, Sunshine and is on her way to becoming an accomplished rider. But I wanted her to understand the plight of horses who are not as fortunate as Sunshine. And to understand the complicated and very challenging process of rescuing those horses. And also, the care involved once they are rescued.
Somehow, somewhere along the line, some people have started to speculate that we are rescuing horse FOR Olivia. And the story is being changed into Olivia somehow having a very privileged position in this process. I don’t know the motivation.
Jealousy? Bitterness? Ignorance?
Whatever the case, it has resulted in Olivia being insulted, bullied, made to feel bad for doing something good that comes from her heart and her love of animals.
So going forward I am going to keep Olivia’s contributions to our horse rescue missions more private.
She will, of course, help me to care for these wonderful animals who need a team to keep them well. But I will not shine a spotlight on her until I feel it will be safe and productive to do so.
The animal rescue community is full of wonderful people. And so many times we must waste energy defending our good works against those who spew hate.
I continue to hope against all hope that I will not have to do this again.
Love,
Mia

MOTHER EARTH

Earth day

Lets make every day to our Earth day, just like we should make Mothers Day ever day 😉 or like my son says, lets celebrate life every day!

We went for a walk into the forest today–nothing unusual with that though–however, our thanks were longer than we normally do on our walk(s) Children, me and our Horse walked and inhaled Mother Nature into our hearts. We thanked her, the ocean, air, land, animals and for the people that are truly working making changes for the better to our beloved planet. Small as Big!

We only got her.

Small steps, like my friend Malin says, “one step at the time!”

That’s Amore!
