Challenge Climbing

0

for Christmas, Max had got a “climbing experience” gift card from friend Simone.

It was the best present ever.Like many children, Max loves to move around, and it was a thrilling exiting challenge. Even many grownups were practicing for upcoming mountain climbings early this spring.

Me mom, followed them — my son and Simone– around however, of course touching ground the whole time. Me, got tired after a while. (A Tired neck, after all time looking up at the climbers)

A cosy little cafe area was near by, with a fireplace, good coffee and sandwiches, and happily, I brought my book with me.

I have to say that Simone got the biggest patiences together with children. And, I loved the idea of giving this kind of Christmas present — and she even tagged along.

Great for kids to move! Exiting! Family Fun!

Means the world to me. Actually, spending time with them means everything to me.

We went to St Moritz to see World Cup in Horse Polo on a frozen lake.

Amazing day. Sunlight, plenty of snow and great play.

Thanks to amazing photographer Kathrin Gralla, we now have a permanent memory.

You are the Boss of your Feelings

Jealousy is one of the most damaging feelings we can allow us to happen.

As it actually hurts yourself, the same way it hurts the target.

Early on in my children’s life, I started to talk to them about jealousy. About “good” jealousy and “bad” jealousy. Either it could inspire them, or destroy them.

One advice I kept telling them — and it’s a good reminder to all of us– is to practice the (Buddhist) question that asks, “Can you be happy for their (the person you are jealous of) success?

When you are noticing your jealous feelings. Stop! Take a breath, and simply ask this question. Chose kindness.

Animals as Coaches

This is my pack!

Every early morning are they gathering together in my office to attend our meditation.

It’s an amazing and powerful feeling, when they also”lower” themselves into a pleasant deep meditation.

Occasionally, I hear one of my Seniors snore peacefully in the background. That is a wonderful heartwarming sound to hear.

After twenty minutes mostly of us do the stretch, then breakfast. What a great way to start the day!

I love my pack of “mini Buddhist” as I have always called them.

Hand Yoga Flowers and Kisses

Support from others can make us heal faster. Well, that is not any new news. I cannot help but remembering growing up with a different kind of compassion.

When Someone was hospitalized we were many visiting and brought flowers and cards that were filling the patients table.

My mom told me not to bring them home, that was bad luck. So all the flowers were brought to the nurses coffee room.

A nurse told me that today many are allergic to flowers, that is why many hospitals are forbidding flowers. How sad, flowers make you feel good. (If you are not allergic) We patients attend to smile when we see the gorgeous flowers, and we talk about the flowers, instead of sickness. (That comes later in our conversation)

My wonderful children brought in flowers and me and my roommate kept talking about them every day. It was a joy for my (our) healing, looking at the flowers during the day.

Does your hospital allow your patients flowers?

Rehabilitation started, and I was filled with joy– even if it hurts, but it’s positive pain.

Amazing staff at the physio therapy Intermedtris das TherapieZentrum. Gentle and loving, my hand thrives.

However, another therapist that makes wonders, and with the best healing kisses, is from Oregon.

Our 28 year old rescue horse that is now rescuing me. Best Nurse Ever!

Two Souls

Two souls. Two eyes. Two minds.

He is always there for you, holding you up.

Listening without sighing or rolling his eyes at you. Your best friend.

Just there without any words, but comforting more than from those with words.

Dog Attack

I had to go in to hospital after a nasty dog bite. Some asked why I tried to separate the dogs. In moments of panic and scream you try to do quick things, solutions.

I have worked with thousands of dogs but never have I seen a situation like this one!

The 30 kg dog attacked Sammy 12 kg without any warning and it was a direct go for kill.

I first tried the water bucket assisted by horrified Max (and Sammy is his dog)

The chewing from the big jaws on Sammy’s throat.

Then I reached for a kind of vacuum machine to hit the head with— which broke No reaction from the dog!

I tried push his eyes in. Make him snap out of it!

When Sammy passed out in his jaws, yes, I tried to bend his jaw open while Olivia tried to suffocate him. That’s when he open his mouth but he was quick, like jaws! And I tried to protect the kids in case he would turn around towards them. He was hanging in my hands.

Would I do it again? Yes!

My wounds looked like nothing compared to Sammy. My first instinct was Sammy’s life. So I drove him bleeding like crazy to our veterinarian that did a good job.

Sammy was in severe shock and we needed a special ct scan to see if his throat was damaged. I drove Sammy to another veterinarian one hour away, and yes still I didn’t think of my fingers.

I even parking on handicap without thinking.

Late, I returned home, and cleaning off my wounds.

In the night that’s when it start to hurt and swollen

I fed the dogs, and then went to the ER

I didn’t try to be a hero — only to save our beloved dog, Sammy!

I stayed for a couple of days, however, now I am home if I clean my wounds and makes a new hand-wrap.

It was so sad staying in the hospital, for many reasons.

Later, I will share my thoughts and experiences.

Have a great Little Christmas 🎄
