Why do you Love the Bottle more than Me?

0

At least once a month we try to meet, a circle of eight young people with broken hearts. I have spoken honest and loudly about my own growing up. Close people I love with some kind of addiction. Sadly, noone seeked help for the addiction. Bitterness and Broken Hearts occurred instead.

Some adults think this topic shouldn’t be spoken about, others think it is very important. However, several young Broken Hearts started to write to me after hearing me talking about it. I noticed a need for being seen and heard needed to be addressed quickly. Sadly many Government’s doesn’t have money for this kind of meetings-to have a qualified Psychologist attending.

But, we do not give advices. We listen and share. We cry and we laugh, together. That’s Amore!

Last meeting We wrote this together;

We got fire in our hearts

We got thunder in our souls

We want to become survivors

Parenting our own parents

We are growing up to fast

Our parents grow old fast

Their memories are always gone

Their stories always changes

Tattooed painfully into our hearts

We get blamed for being unthankful

We get accused for being the problem

We never asked to be born

Their denial continues with another drink

Alcohol kills love

Alcohol kills relationships

We never asked to be born

It hurts to see how they suffer

but we are children suffering too

The hearts of Thunder

(“One in five German children have alcoholic or drug-addict parents or drug-addict parents, according to the latest annual figures on drugs and addiction.” The Local DE 2011

(one in four USA Children have alcohol or drug-addict parents other statistics say one in 10 children–no matter what, it is to much)

This is of course a very dark numbers.

“My dad throws books at my mother when he is drunk.”
