Our beloved AWL bearded dragon Bobby, had to go to the veterinarian yesterday. I had found a fantastic reptile veterinarian only an hour away from our Animal Sanctuary.
Bobby bleeds from his mouth, especially when he eats grasshoppers!
I am the only one handling Bobby, and during his stay here for 3 weeks, nothing special has happened!

Veterinarian examined him and told me that Bobby got an old fracture on his jaw. The jaw is trying to heal!

We have no idea what or when this could have happened! The former person that cared about him said he thought he bleed from his mouth when shedding.
When rescuing animals, even with a story being told to you about the animal, bring the animal(s) to be examined by an experienced person!

When Bobby came to us a piece of his tail was gone, and several toes missing. We don’t know why…we can only guess. He has been in different homes before finally ending up with us.

For now, he will be without crickets for two weeks, and after that, another examination at the veterinarian!
