The Power of Silence

0

After a stressful day, nothing can make me more relaxed than sitting together with the rescue horses. Everything around me is quiet, except for their crunching meditative sounds from them eating their hay.

I breathe in the same tempo as the horses. My shoulders falls down into a relaxed position. My thoughts slows down which gives the reaction to my puls to also slow down. I am in the moment.

Here time doesn’t exist, only now. The power of now.

No spoken words. The mind got its moment to rest.

Stay Protected

A Week ago it was warm a beautiful. Flies everywhere. Yes I can tolerate them if I can have sun and warm weather. But since the last two days, it’s been cold and rainy. No flies though!

Our beautiful rescue horse, Rihanna got her own protection mask, while we humans walk around with our kind of protection mask 😷

Stay Protected and use Common Sense.

Poop Diving Love

0

Rescue horse Oregon, is the one that keeps me and life going. I am so lucky to have him in my life. Sometimes I do wonder, “who rescued who?”

Oregon is 29 years old and acts like a big American Football player. He can suddenly just come up and push you 20 meters straight ahead. He is determined to move the object which forgot to bring the carrots.

I clean him up while talking. I have no idea what I am saying. We are just having that great conversation. We just are just hanging out together. He looks great, shinny and handsome.

I leave his box for only 30 seconds to get something. When I return, he has done what he loves the most. Poop 💩 diving.

Only love can start over again.

Human and Horse Therapists Together

1

I am very excited to see our “quiet” project, back in 2018 named as Giving Back, is becoming known by various psychologist, and different therapists in our area.  And our project is growing!

I am truly thankful, and enthusiastic for their open minds, and becoming more aware that animals, are having a huge impact on us humans healing.

Me and AWL (supporters) are rescuing horses with different kind of mental illness. Some of the horses are having ‘deeper’ depressions than the others.

Me and my daughter, work quietly together with the rescue horses, figuring out with their guidance, how they wants to heal.

Each one of them, shows us which directions they want to go. Since they don’t have the same story, or experiences to tell us, we need to listen extra carefully.

All five horses doesn’t receive the same therapy from us!

Same goes for us humans.

Mental illness doesn’t take a break, and neither can we.

You are Never to Old to Fly

0

You are never to old to try new things. As a matter of fact, I will always remember a friends words to me, “Mia, when you stop living that’s when you become old.”

I started to ride a year ago — I think– I am not much for lessons, I get very bored quickly– same for our rescue horse Miracle.

I like to be together with him, listening to what he likes to do. And then, I follow his desire.

Riding out in the Forrest is with mixed feelings. In the start he walks in a good tempo, and we can both look around the beautiful nature. Then, he desires for trotting, then faster and faster. If he could decide, we would cantor through the woods, happily. Even if I would be terrified.

Miracle is 27 year old former school horse from southern Italy. At their place their were no pastures, only outdoor arena and then he would be back in his box.

Where he stays now, it is heavenly with nature, pastures, in and outdoors arenas. He got a big box and a lot of healthy food.

Sometimes we look at the people jumping, and my daughters jumping lessons. It looks fun!

I asked Miracle if he wanted to jump, and he gladly did jump a bunny jump. His ears were forward, his speed fast and …..landed perfectly and made some rodeo happy kicks.

Me, I closed my eyes

thank you. Olivia my daughter for coaching and giggling when your mom is riding. If it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t do this.

Miracle, my love, you are bringing out my joy and fear inside of me. How amazing you are.

That’s Amore!
